Psalm 23, The Shepherd created me and cares for me
Psalm 23. You may or not be familiar with it. I wasn't going to put the entire thing here, but decided that it is best left intact.
Psalm 23 (NASB)
The Lord is my shepherd. I will not be in need.
He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me.
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.
Certainly goodness and faithfulness will follow me all the days of my life,
And my dwelling will be in the house of the Lord forever.
The Lord cares for me. For you.
THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE CARES ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU!
How can we even fathom that?
Something I cannot fathom is evolution. How do people believe that amoebas grew and re-formed and transformed and became who we are today. Where did the amoeba come from? Big bang blast of energy? Where did energy come from? How did procreation happen?
How did humanity make the jump to what we have today; that something from the man connects with something totally different from a woman and a child is created. That in itself is mind-blowing, but THAT can be proved by science. It's all a matter of faith. Some put their faith in a process that has yet to be proved, really proved (not just illustrations in a book). And others put their faith in God, our Father, Creator of all things. Who loves me so much that even before I was born made a way for me to spend eternity in heaven with Him. He loves you that much too.
When I start to doubt and wonder about the purpose of "life", I go back to the basics. For me that is a child. There are thousands of intricacies and details that all have to work together to create a child. For me, that always points back to God. The Lord is my Shepherd
Blessings
Mary
